For Rosa (preview)

Based on true events, "For Rosa" recounts the final days of Rosa, a young climate activist who tragically lost her life in the devastating floods that hit Belgium in July 2021. In a desperate attempt to save her, 14-year-old Benjamin plunged into the raging waters after her.

This heartbreaking loss led Benjamin to commit himself to fulfilling Rosa's dream of a better world. His tireless advocacy has already resulted in the establishment of 15 July as the official European and Belgian Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Global Climate Crisis.

This exclusive preview of "For Rosa" will take place at Théâtre Mercelis in Ixelles (Brussels), where Rosa lived, on 15 July 2024. The play will be performed in Dutch with English surtitles. Doors open at 7.15 p.m., and the show starts at 7.30 p.m. Seats are unnumbered.

Proceeds from the evening will go to Climate Justice for Rosa vzw, a non-profit founded in Rosa’s memory. By sharing and amplifying the stories of climate victims, Climate Justice for Rosa seeks to raise awareness about the human and environmental impacts of the climate crisis and drive meaningful climate action.
